The annual Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) conference just wrapped up in San Diego. OpenMarkets was excited to join the 1000+ healthcare supply chain professionals exploring the latest trends, best practices and ideas for continuing AHRMM’s drive to improved costs, quality & outcomes.
Our team included two first time AHRMM conference attendees, Lee Hillman, Regional Account Manager and Danielle Baranowski, Marketplace Solutions Specialist.
”The AHRMM conference was really inspiring,” said Danielle. “One aspect of the show that really stood out for me was my interaction with Larry Foye, CMRP, who is the Director of Materials Management at Conway Medical Center and an AHRMM board member. Larry took the time to join me in conversations with Hologic, Olympus, and several other equipment suppliers to help educate them on how OpenMarkets creates better working relationships and more efficient transactions. It’s really eye-opening to take part in conversations about how providers and suppliers both want to work together to improve healthcare.”
To keep with the theme of collaboration, OpenMarkets ran a fun Match Game in the exhibit hall. Our primary focus is to create efficient ways for equipment suppliers and providers to work together, so the game was developed to foster those interactions. We asked suppliers and providers to team up for a selfie and share it using the hashtag #OpenMarkets to win a Starbucks gift card. We had great participation and you can see a gallery of highlights on our social accounts: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
Trevor Wood, Senior Vice President at OpenMarkets, loves the networking opportunities that the AHRMM conference provides. “We had a lot of informative discussions with current clients and prospects,” Trevor said. “It was great to see Stan Swedberg and other familiar faces, and I saw a lot of activity with the Match Game. Promoting better collaboration and enabling new conversations is how we’ll continue to improve healthcare.”
Another highlight for the OpenMarkets team was the equipment session offered by Sanford Health. This session focused on lean workflow principles, change management, and improving service to end-users.
Lee Hillman, Regional Account Manager, found great value in hearing from Ryan Hulme and Michael Hoffmann, both Directors of Supply Chain Operations for Sanford Health. “I found the session to be highly informative because of the processes used to increase reliability and efficiency. It’s helpful to learn how providers implement unique ways to improve service while saving time and money.”
We’d like to thank everyone that helped make AHRMM16 a success! We look forward to seeing you next year in Washington DC! Enjoy the Match Game selfies below!
