Seven healthcare provider systems, including Sinai Health System in Chicago, IL, recently joined the OpenMarkets network to aggregate demand and improve their capital equipment supply chain function.
“We’re extremely excited to partner with OpenMarkets,” says Justin Schneider, Vice President at Sinai Health System. “Partnering with OpenMarkets aligns with our mission and will foster a more proactive capital equipment program.”
Rady Children’s Hospital (San Diego, CA), Concord Hospital (Concord, NH), Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (Seguin, TX), Elkhart Clinic (Elkhart, IN), Kootenai Health (Coeur d’Alene, ID) and NIX Health System (San Antonio, TX) have also recently joined the OpenMarkets network.
OpenMarkets growth occurred in other areas as well, as a number of providers in our network went live with CAP Connect, the new centralization and capital budgeting software system. Among the providers that went live in Q4 are Medical Center Health System (Odessa, TX), Midland Memorial Hospital (Midland, TX), Citizens Medical Center (Victoria, TX), Shannon Medical Center (San Angelo, TX), Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (Norfolk, VA) and United Regional Healthcare Care System (Wichita Falls, TX). An average of 67 users at these hospitals use our software and that number is only expected to grow.
Danny Blount, Director of Supply Chain, is leading one of these CAP Connect deployments and recently explained the benefits to his internal team:
“Our purchasing and accounting teams are focused on improving operational efficiency. Our goals include the elimination of paperwork, manual routing and approvals for capital budgeting/requisitioning/purchasing. To that end, we sourced and built an electronic workflow with OpenMarkets. We have noticed numerous benefits, including:
• Automated workflow from requisition entry through PO generation
• Visibility into “where in the workflow” the requisition is held
• Approval via email & through the click of a button on your smart phone
• Centralization of capital quotes/notes/approvals in one location
• General Ledger codes built in through the system
The program is easy to use, and all known capital users have access to the OpenMarkets system. We are excited to have this new centralization and visibility that OpenMarkets CAP Connect provides.”
To support this growth OpenMarkets will be moving to a bigger office located at 500 W Madison Street, Chicago, IL later in January. OpenMarkets has also hired new talent who bring a wealth of experience to the table.
