Late last week, Granville Health System, a small community hospital in Oxford, NC, finalized the purchase of an OR Hand Table with Bryton Corp. on the OpenMarkets Exchange. For Bryton, an Indianapolis, IN based supplier medical equipment who joined OpenMarkets in October, this win came about quickly as a result of their ability to collaborate efficiently on The Exchange with Zeb Barnette, the Clinical Value Analysis Expert at Granville.
“We just bought the Bryton Hand Table,” said Barnette in a note to OpenMarkets. “Great product.”
For Barnette, the process was simple. He entered his request on The Exchange on November 8th. The Granville clinical teams were seeking a simple hand table similar to those offered by Alimed. Barnette’s request cited the Alimed product number, and Bryton, Ganim Medical, STERIS and a few other suppliers were given the opportunity to collaborate and provide a competitive quote. Bryton’s team responded fast with the information Barnette needed, and they were on the phone to iron out the final details later that day. The PO was cut by the end of the month. This was the first time either organization had worked with the other.
This collaboration plays out all the time on the The OpenMarkets Exchange. For providers, the Exchange is a simple way to research across 20,000+ equipment items such as tables, carts, ultrasounds. Suppliers get the opportunity to work quickly and easily with new providers. This lowers the cost of acquiring customers and reduces the cost of sale.
