OpenMarkets is excited to join MATTER, the Chicago-based community of healthcare innovation and entrepreurship.

Founded in February 2015, MATTER is a not-for-profit organization developed by healthcare entrepreurs, industry leaders and the state of Illinois and City of Chicago. MATTER includes over 120 companies, ranging from seed-stage startups to industry leaders like GHX.

“OpenMarkets joined Matter to increase our involvement with Chicago’s innovative healthcare and startup community,” said Tom Derrick, Co-Founder of OpenMarkets. “Much of our team is active within the community on an individual basis, and formalizing the organizational tie to MATTER allows us increased access to mentors, partners and use of the great space within Chicago’s Merchandise Mart. It’s great for our team to have another space to work, network and meet in outside of the OpenMarkets office. Our team is there every week for meetings and educational sessions.”

OpenMarkets is part of a class of 20 new organizations joining this month.
